The two primary/basic responsibilities of a member of parliament are;
Quality representation of his/her Constituents in the house of legislature (Parliament).
Having the good lobbying skills in other to bring development to his/ her Constituents or constituency.
If these two are the primary/ basic responsibilities of a member of parliament (MP) i mentioned above are actually true, then the Member of parliament (MP) for Wa East Constituency Hon.DR. GODFRED SEIDU JASAW within his two years in office have proven himself that he is the best choice for Wa East NDC and the Constituency at large. WHY DO I SAY SO? In the house of legislature (Parliament), Hon.Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw (MP) not in once, not in twice have questioned minister of energy on when they are to connect some communities in Wa East Constituency to the national grid.
He also questioned Agric Minister concerning fertilizer subsidiaries to farmers and others in the agric sector.
Also, Hon. Dr. JASAW questioned minister of communication when they are to network some communities in the constituency.
Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw in parliament contribute a lot in national development logically by speaking on issues that are brought to the floor of parliament. He contributed a lot in the house of legislature and beyond.
Hon.Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw is not like a first time MP when it comes to deliberating on issues in parliament.
Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw again on national development is serving two sensitive committees in parliament ( deputy ranking member on Agriculture and cocoa, vice chairman of parliamentary affairs Ghana -Japan league)
As a first timer MP, this will tell you that he is actually representing his constituents (quality representation) and he is a national asset.
Hon.Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw on his lobbying skills is able to bring in NGOs in to the Constituency to support in water, health and more.some still on pipeline.
He also lobbied for some communities to be networked.
On the MPs own personal initiative have touched on Education by renovating some schools that are in deplorable shape, supporting some communities to also renovate their school.
He has supported some students in their admissions fees and some full school fees. Also, supporting BECE students with learning materials. supported some schools will metal dual desk and others.
Hon. Dr. JASAW on the aspect of Health, he has renovated some deplorable health facilities in the constituency and furnished them with bed, donated while chairs and motorcycle to some of them.
He has also supported some communities self initiated health facilities by donating cements and monies to them.
He did eye screening and surgery for free.
He lobbied for the building of which the contractors were staying at Kulun while working on the constituency bridges and converted it into a health facility with support from the district health director.
In the aspect of water, Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw has worked on so many broken boreholes in the Constituency including Duccie small water project and drilled new boreholes in the constituency but unfortunately some of the communities after drilling yet no water from the source and others.
Soap making and others were organised for the women in the constituency and others.
These are some of the things the MP for Wa East Constituency Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw have done in the house of legislature (parliament) and in his constituency within two years of which his party is not in power.
He has done a lot for the re-branding of the party in the Wa East Constituency by completing Party office at Bulenga, building some at the traditional zones and also started the facilitating of the Constituency party offices at Funsi.
He has also donated plastic chairs to all the branches in the constituency and many more.
He regularly visits his constituents.
He is so down to earth
If Wa East NDC delegates and the Constituency at large wants the development of the Constituency and quality future for the youth, then the delegates should retain him as the Parliamentary candidate for the party and the whole constituency should also retain him come 2024.
Hon Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw is not a candidate that Wa East delegates and the Constituency at large will want to be changed.
Anyone who wants can do his own research into the Constituency and prove me wrong and i will never post or do any write up about Hon.Dr. Godfred Seidu JASAW.
Hon. Dr.Godfred Seidu Jasaw is a developmental messiah as i always call him, a visionary leader any constituency in the upper west region and beyond will wish to have as anMP.

The UWRFA Division Two II Board in consultation with the EXCO has postponed the league for further week to dealing with pending protest cases.
The league went on a three week break after the end of the first round and was due to start on March 24, 2023.
Twenty-three (23) teams are participating in this year’s league. Sixteen (16) of these teams come from the Wa Municipal zone and seven (7) from the Tumu zone.
Since the inception of the 4th Republic, NDC apart from Hon. Alhaji Issahaku Salia, none other after him as PC/MP can boast of representing or serving as mp on the ticket of NDC for more than a term. Hon. Ameen Salifu rescued us from eight years without an NDC MP in 2012 after a fiercely contested and acrimonious primaries in 2011.
In 2015, out of hatred, not underperformance, the “Self Acclaimed Owners’ of Wa East devised dubious and undemocratic means to truncate his tenure and brought in an astute lawyer with special needs, Dr. Henry Seidu Danaah. With the lawyer as our PC, we lost the seat to our opponents in 2016 as a result of voter apathy and tactical voting. Fast forward to 2019, the very team that brought Dr. Daannaa during the 2015 parliamentary primaries quickly jettisoned him and run to support Hon. Dr. Seidu Jasaw. Dr. Jasaw genuinely won the 2019 primaries and went ahead to win the 2020 general elections overwhelmingly. Unfortunately on Hon. Jasaw’s part, his party, the NDC couldn’t make it to form the government of the day; making him an orphan MP in Parliament. Albeit an orphan MP, everybody including his detractors and saboteurs can testify that he is vocal and vociferous in the house of Parliament. Today, with Jasaw in Parliament, Wa East Constituency has become a household name in Ghana and beyond. As usual of them, they are at it again, doing everything possible and reactivating their destructive machinations to render Jasaw too, another one-term MP.
I’m not insinuating that the duo contesting Jasaw is incapable or incompetent. They undoubtedly may be as competent and vocal as Dr. Jasaw, but the timing is miscalculated and inimical to the growth of the party. Why can’t we put our heads together, guide and support the incumbent MP for two consecutive terms at least ? After which we would have ample grounds to assess and interrogate his tenure and call for his head if the need be. But a situation where we are trying to establish a new convention of ousting our MP/PC every four years, will not auger well for the party. We’ll be creating unending divisions to enable our opponents from the NPP judiciously utilize such divisions to defeat us. Dear delegates, I challenge you to be bold and untimid to ask the following questions :
Must we always change our PC/MP after every four years? If yes or no is their answer, you should know the follow-up question
Must they always be the ones to bring/propose new PC/MP for the party in the constituency?
What assurance have they for you this time around that, they won’t bring a different candidate tomorrow?
Challenge them to tell you why the incumbent during his PC days was supported and tagged competent but appears repugnant to them today.
Finally, why should the incumbent MP be maintained? I will be back to address meaningful responses, not insults or emotional reactions.
