Access Bank Division One League newbies have been busy in the market right after the end of the 2022/2023 season which they were champions of the Upper West Regional Division Two League unbeaten.
The “The Lions of North” have let go thirteen (13) of the players they used in the previous season. Seven (7) of them went on loan to clubs within the 3rd tier division. Six (6) of them too went on permanent deals.
Eighteen (18) of last season’s players have been retained by the “We Can” family as the club really have high hope on them. Champion defender Yakubu Nuhu, midfielder Issahaku Abdul Wahid and goalkeeper Jerry Angleoha have all been retained.
Wa Power Sporting Club have brought in twenty-two (22) players from GPL, Division One and Two clubs to strengthen their squad. Two of the new players, Peter Daud Mubashir and Isaac Waale were on loan to Tano Bofoakwa United FC and Wa Football Club respectively. In all Wa Power Sporting Club have in depth of 40 players.
