Medeama Sporting Club qualify to the group stage of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League

The 2022/2023 betPawa Premier League champions have gained qualification into the group stage of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League group stage with a 4:3 aggregate over Guinean giants, Horoya in a two legged matches.

Medeama Sporting Club won the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium by 3:1 before making their journey to Conakry, the capital of Guinea for the second leg which they lost by 2:1. Despite the lost, they qualified on aggregate.

The Mauve and Yellow made history as they are the first Ghanaian club to reach this stage of the CAF Champions League after 11 years. This is also the first in the history of the club.

Medeama Sporting Club is set to earn $550,000 (GHC6,377,250.00) for reaching the group stage of the CAF Champions League this season.
