I have never missed a penalty in a competitive game: Abdul Razak Toufiq Champion

In an interview with the experienced left-back, formerly of Wa All Stars SC, King Faisal and Elman SC in Somalia, Abdul Razak Toufiq, concerning his personality, skills and interest in the game, he made us know that he has never missed a penalty in a competitive game in his career so far.

He was responding to a question on how he has been called “Champion”.

“Growing up as a young football player at my cose level, one time at training grounds we were to take 5 penalty kicks and I was the only player to score all the 5 kicks so my manager called me Champion and that is how the name came about.”

“So from there, I have never lost a penalty in a competitive game.”

Prior to the start of the 2022/2023 season, Toufiq was with Tamale City FC having trials but was not seen the final list of the Citizens. Responding to this, he said the deal went off in the last minute. “The deal did not go through in the die minute”, he said.

“My past teams have together made me a better player for making sure I am discipline on and off the field and also be determined.” A response to how his former clubs have made him a better player.

The former King Faisal player believes in team work. “If team work is not there, I do not think you can achieve your goal as a team.”

He is now a student of UBIDS in the Upper West Region. One of the few footballers that combine books and boots in Ghana. “When you have the love for something, definitely you will get time for that particular thing, and I have time for my training and for my lectures”, he added.

“I am working towards next season Insha’allah”, he said.

Abdul Razak Toufiq Champion has been without a club after King Faisal FC have released him prior to the start of the 2022/2023 season.
