Member of Parliament for Wa East Constituency, Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw who doubles as the Deputy Ranking for Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee participated in the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) Parliamentary Peer Learning Session on the 3rd Biennial Review Report from 1st to 5th March, 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The CAADP is aimed at helping African countries eliminate hunger and reduce poverty by raising economic growth through agriculture-led development.
Dr. Jasaw during the program was a lead panelist that discussed the utilization of the assessment and recommendations from the Biennial Review Report and proposed policy alternatives for achieving the objectives of the CAADP.
He also led the call by African Parliamentarians in proposing an “African Parliamentary Network on Food Systems Security (APNFSS)” which will be a platform for knowledge sharing on approaches to FastTrack implementation arrangements of the CAADP within Member States.
