SAMARTEX FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE GAINED PROMOTION INTO THE GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE

Western side Samatex have gained promotion to the Ghana Premier League. The club is owned by the Samatex Timber & Plywood company.

In their town of Samreboi, large parts of the community, including players’ quarters do not pay electricity bills. Power is supplied by the firewood produced by the company. They have a mini-stadium with floodlights, all powered by the electricity generated from the firewood.

Recently unveiled a new player at the Timber factory. First-team players are enrolled on the company’s payroll & paid the basic salary of senior staff.

The Managing Director of the Company, Richard Nsenkyire, during the celebration of their promotion, announced that the company intends to upgrade their stadium to international standard, as they hope to play clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns and Ahly at the Samatex stadium soon.
