YOUTH OF TODAY

The youth of today have decided to change their own destinies. They have forgotten that a baby learns to sit before crawling, then walks. They feel the fingers are the same and must make it at all cost. Lots of social vices around, all in the name of making money.

The youth no longer believe in having a good Education and a simple life. They think and dream beyond that, they want fancy cars, beautiful mansions and lots of money forgetting life is not all about fancies. Money rituals and scamming has become the order of the day. For the side of scamming, they claim they are only taking back all that were stolen from their forefathers by the whites. Too bad!

The rot in the society today is too bad. It wasn’t learnt from our forefathers because they were men of honor and repute. Drug peddling is one of the menace amongst the youth today. People campaigned everywhere against it but its just doesn’t seem to end.

Where are we(youth) going to with this kind of lifestyle? When are the youth realizing whom they are in the society? Imagine the pillars of a building start breaking one after the other, what do you think will happen to the building?

They now turn deaf ears to the elders and feel their advices are nothing to write home about. Look at the number of youth that die everyday as a result of these vices. Something beneficial must be done to rescue the youth, leaders of tomorrow, pillars of the society, or else their lives will continue to be in limbo.
