There is much better and delight watching the young waiting to take over the shackles of leadership. Student leaders look very vibrant ready to work and learn. All the promises and the beautiful notes they send out to their fellow students just to convince them for votes.
Insofaras there are elections and campaigns definitely conflict of interest is likely to occur.

(SRC PRESIDENT, NJA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION)
Tribalism, Nepotism, Discrimination amongst others all set in. Where departments want their departmental representative to win and so. All because they belong to a particular section.
What about the Political Parties? The destructive force of all. They take advantage of these poor young students, sponsor their campaigns and influence them to get their policies forced across. At the end of the day, these youth we claim are the future, their minds are corrupted and contaminated.
They no longer try to help the poor populace who put them in power rather, they chase after monies and suck the resources of their institutions like mosquitoes.
Gone are the days when there was dignity in Student leadership, when Students admired their leaders in school. Today, Students leaders are nothing to write home about. They are blood thirsty vampires looking for money to feast on.
These students are the same people who build their political careers to the latter and mind you, may be the future leaders. With this attitude? I put this question across.

Nice write up.
I suggest you could have qualified the statement ‘today, students leaders are nothing to write home about’ with most.
Again, I feel some institutions do not also give some of these students leaders opportunity to fully function.

As rightly suggested by someone stating you should correct this statement ‘today, students leaders are nothing to write home about .’ There individual differences and variations in how institutions choose their leaders. Thank for u very much for also getting minds on such bad attitudes being cultivated by other student leaders
